The Cold War was the ideological conflict dominated by two extremely power nations in the world, the American capitalism, and Soviet Communism. The conflict commenced during the Cold War when the Soviet Union began expanding its powers over the world. Tension developed between the two when the United States became disturbed with the Soviet Union for their attempt to expand its communist government system to other countries. The two superpowers nations began to fight one another indirectly for power and control of the world. American capitalist economy had more consumer spending that enabled them to outspend the Soviet Union on a variety of weapon systems, supply aids for NATO allies, and bribes to undecided neutral nations.
