Italy is located at the bottom part of Europe. It looks boot shaped it was boarded by the Adriatic sea on the east coast. On the west coast is the Mediterranean coast and south is the Ionian Sea. To the north italy is bordered by France, Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia. Italy is part of the mainland it looks like a boot if you look at it from an aerial view. It is part of the Puglia region it the “heel” and the “toes” if part of the Calabria region. Itay was only a country since 1861 even though the peninsula has thousands of years of history before that. The landscape of Italy is mainly covered in mountains and and hills. With the Mediterranean sea it’s the best feature to this boot like it has a lot of farm lands. Italy also includes two large islands which are Sicily and Sardinia. Italy has farmlands that are fertile because of the PO river. Sicily is one of the largest island in the Mediterranean sea with active volcanoes, earthquakes.
The clothes they wear in italy are usually stylish and has stripes. Sometimes they dress less casual than us americans do. Women generally dress modestly in Italy. This is especially true for the clothing that both women and men wear to places such as churches and museums, which often require a specific type of dress. Women typically wear simple makeup and soft shades of lipstick and nail polish. Men refrain from wearing shorts same with tank tops. Men in Italy wear clothing that is well tailored. Jackets are seen as ill-fitting if the shoulders do not sit perfectly.
Most of the food they eat in Italy is pasta, cheese, rice, cured meats and sometimes vegetables.
