Book review
“Wings of fire” by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam:
Wings of fire is an autobiography of APJ Abdul Kalam covering his early life and his work in space research and missile programs. The book is very popular in India and is translated in many languages. Kalam was born in Rameswaram. The initial chapters of the book is very interesting. In the book we learn how Kalam started his career in aeronautical development establishment. Later he moved to Indian space research. Wings of fire covers Kalam’s personal life. Kalam is a poet and is a huge fan of poems. We also come across some brilliant people who worked hardly in the Indian Space Research like Vikram Sarabhai and Dr. Brahm Prakash. One of the most important thing throughout the book is Kalam’s positive thinking. He ranked in high positions in various organisations. The secret of his success is that he ignore negative thoughts around him. Kalam is a simple and an inspiring human.
