Absenteeism do not only impacts the working of the nurses but also bring down their confidence and attention on the patient and work. It has been observed many times that when nurses come back after break, they are less attentive to the work. Therefore, it has become very important to study the impacts of absenteeism on the quality of nursing which has not been given much attention in the earlier studies.
Nurse absenteeism has been consistently rising in many countries and there is little evidence found that what strategies should be adopted in order to bring down the effects of absenteeism on the work efficiency and nurse themselves. A proper qualitative study is required to see the cognitive perception of absenteeism indifferent healthcare institutions and under different situations. Enough sample size is being selected to study the research question so that corrective interference can be drawn from them.
